Haikubes

My mom gave me these Haikubes as a present a while ago and they are incredibly sweet and charming. It is sort of like a game, one rolls the cubes and creates haikus with the words that land face up. There are infinite possibilities.
I tend to want to keep everything that comes into my life and these have helped with the idea that one must let go of certain things and that objects are meant to rotate in and out of our lives.
It's almost therapeutic to create something and to destroy it in order to create another.
And they are fun to play with friends and very
relaxing in general.

Dreaming of My Dorm Decor

It has been three weeks today that I packed my Los Angeles life into a Pruis (I was terrified that it all wouldn't fit, but it did indeed) and drove the nine hours back home.

Home has been very nice and relaxing and even though I do not miss the four by four space that I staked out as my home away from home, I do miss my little corner in Room 360.

I drink tea.
A LOT.
The Alice and Wonderland cup was a birthday gift from my Suitemate.
The Jim Town Store (one of my favorite places in the world) was a going-to-college
gift from a very close family friend,
it was one of the sweetest gifts that I have ever recieved.

My Cozy Little Corner

I'm uber excited to start fresh in the fall with a new blank room.
Must spend the summer brewing up new images and ideas.

Finally Finals

I am about to start my final exams period, yucky. Luckily, I only have two written exams, I had a paper and presentation due for my third class last week, so I don't have to worry about that one anymore. However, I must study a lot nonetheless for my Linguistics and my French exams. Come Wednesday evening I can finally play again.

To cheer me up, my two best friends from home sent me a lovely Finals Survival Kit.... filled will all kinds of fun and yummy things.... (and pretty cute "study socks"). And of course, good study music!

I don't think I could ask for better friends, seriously love them!

A Birthday Card For Gypsy

My friend's 19th birthday was last Sunday so I decided to make her a little card.
Happy Birthday!

She likes New York and will be applying to the Film School here at LaLaLand.

Cheers,

Mother's Day ♡

Happy Mother's Day!

Mom and me at the Hollywood Bowl 2010

Sadly, this is the first Mom's Day I've spent away from home. But never fear, mommy dear, I made my mom a collaged letter that I sent her way via the post.
It was nice to make something special for someone I love.
