{mr. blue sky}

Feeling blue.... not in a sad way, but in a very pleasant way.
The sun finally came out early today!
Whoohoo.

Anyway, I was thinking about the song, Mr. Blue Sky by Electric Light Orchestra while basking in the sunshine and enjoying the blue sky.
Then I began to think that I haven't posted photos of another color and I do fancy BLUE quite a bit....

Here are some fun photos that feature BLUE!

Lions and Tigers and Bears! Oh My!

While we were cleaning out my grandmother's basement,
I came across a box full of strange rubber creatures.

They all have great personalities.
Here are my favorites.

They have been well loved.

Hat off to you Ruby ♡

When my mom, brother and I went up to visit my grandmother in Spokane, Washington in July we went through my grandmother's basement. And look what we found!

A whole stash of my great-great grandmother Ruby's vintage hats
from the 1940's, 50's and 60's.

They were amazing and my mom and I had a mini-photo shoot.
We had lots of fun that day reliving the past.
Thanks Ruby!

There was also a huge collection of 1950's and 60's Vogue and Elle covers.
I will have to figure out what to do with them one day that
serves them the artistic justice they deserve.

But they are mighty fun to admire in the mean time.

Haikubes

My mom gave me these Haikubes as a present a while ago and they are incredibly sweet and charming. It is sort of like a game, one rolls the cubes and creates haikus with the words that land face up. There are infinite possibilities.
I tend to want to keep everything that comes into my life and these have helped with the idea that one must let go of certain things and that objects are meant to rotate in and out of our lives.
It's almost therapeutic to create something and to destroy it in order to create another.
And they are fun to play with friends and very
relaxing in general.

Dreaming of My Dorm Decor

It has been three weeks today that I packed my Los Angeles life into a Pruis (I was terrified that it all wouldn't fit, but it did indeed) and drove the nine hours back home.

Home has been very nice and relaxing and even though I do not miss the four by four space that I staked out as my home away from home, I do miss my little corner in Room 360.

I drink tea.
A LOT.
The Alice and Wonderland cup was a birthday gift from my Suitemate.
The Jim Town Store (one of my favorite places in the world) was a going-to-college
gift from a very close family friend,
it was one of the sweetest gifts that I have ever recieved.

My Cozy Little Corner

I'm uber excited to start fresh in the fall with a new blank room.
Must spend the summer brewing up new images and ideas.
