Even though it rained most of the time I was up north, I didn't mind
because the rain just makes
the mountain {as well as the entire valley} lush and the creek run.
When you step outside you can instantly hear the rush of the small seasonal creek
that runs down the canyon behind our house. It's sort of our back yard, if you can even call it that....
My dad and I took a walk down there one sunny morning
just to look and soak up the beauty.
What a glorious place to live and such a contrast from LA.
We have a family of deer that come and go ... one time we had nine
of them hanging out.
For a while we had three that would hang out with Stanley, the lone turkey.
They are beautiful and I love looking at them {often through binoculars} while they are visiting.
Unfortunately, they do like to nibble our flowers quite a bit....
